6/17/13 Site visits: 9-1 pm Palatine (Romulus’ hut; House of Augustus, Palatine museum); 
Upper Via Sacra (house of the Vestal virgins & temple of Vesta, Arch of Titus; Roman 
forum (senate, Forum of Caesar, arch of Janus, Severan arch); 1-2 lunch

6/18/13 Site visits: 9-1 pm National museums (Massimo, Terme), Diocletian baths, Trajan’s 
column, forum & market, column of Marcus Aurelius & Giulitti’s (gelato shop); 1-2

6/22-24 Venice

6/25/13 Site visits: 9-12 noon Catacombs of Sts. Agnes (9 am) and Priscilla (10:30 am); 12-2 
pm lunch & travel; 2-5 pm Appian Way - La Chiesa Domine Quo Vadis, Catacombs of 
Callistus (2:30 pm) & San Sebastiano (3:30 pm).

6/29/13 Basilica San Paolo Fuori le Mura (St. Paul Outside the Walls) (Note: This is the Festival of 
Sts. Peter and Paul, so it is a Roman holiday, but we will have class in a park near St. 
Paul Outside the Walls), visit the church, have a picnic dinner, watch fireworks & walk 
home along the Tiber.

7/2/13 Site visits: 9-10 am Milvian Bridge; 12-3 pm Arch of Constantine

7/3/13 Possible papal audience Vatican 8-12 noon;

7/5 & 7/6/13 Bus to Termini Station, train to Milan – Hotel Ariosto Milano, via Ariosto 22
Site visits: Sant’Ambrogio (Church of St. Ambrose); Il Duomo, possibly Pavia.

7/6 -7/8/13 Ravenna – Hotel Diana, Via Girolamo Rossi 47, Ravenna. Site visits: San Vitale, 
Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, tomb of Galla Placidia, Arian Baptistery, Neonian (Orthodox) 
Baptistery, if time Museo Arcivescovile and Sant’Apollinare Classe.

7/8 - 7/10/13 Florence –Hotel Palazzo Ognissanti Via Maso Finiguerra 12r, Firenze.
Site visits: San Miniato, Pontevecchio, Il Duomo (Santa Maria dei Fiori), Santa Maria 
Novella, Ognissanti, and Santa Maria dei Croce
